Michelle Springett from Expressive Art Experience was the lead artist in a collaborative project with our service – Medicare Mental Health Kids Hub (Illawarra) in 2025. Michelle was responsible for producing 15 artworks for our new centre which were based around children’s art.

Michelle worked collaboratively with members of our planning team to devise the project. Michelle ran six workshops at two local primary schools, and then collated the children’s art into beautiful and meaningful pieces that are on display in our centre which attract a high level of interest. Michelle is organised, professional, engaging, responsive to input and suggestions and is a skilled artist able to produce artworks of an extremely high standard within expected timeframes.

Michelle goes above and beyond to ensure the project is successful. Michelle was able to engage children and our staff very effectively in the process of art making and make the experience enjoyable.
